That's a wrap on a fabulous four weeks of Touch! Our player of the day for our final week is Ruby K. Ruby, you have shown fantastic Touch skills and brought some very useful prior knowledge to the first session, even surprising the coach. You continued to participate and contribute fully throughout the four weeks. Great work Ruby! Here is Ruby honing up on her Cricket skills :)
Room 1 have been aiming to use more Te Reo in the classroom throughout the day. We are making great steps to use more Maori in our day to day life at school. Below is the Mihimihi that we have been learning in class, we started my just saying lines 4, 5, and 6, with help from the posters that we have on our board. Now many of us can confidently say the whole thing from memory! Ka tangi te tītī, ka tangi te kākā, ka tangi hoki ahau, Tihei mauri ora. Ko . . . . . . . . tōku pāpā Ko . . . . . . . . tōku māmā Ko . . . . . . . . ahau Nō reira Tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā tātou katoa We are going to continue to learn this in class and we will be adding more information to it as we progress. Please help us at home so that we are ready for in class learning.
